– You have recently expanded to Cyprus. What is the philosophy of expanding the company?
– The logic we follow for ParkAround’s expansion is that we focus on airports in each country. This is the reason why someone can use our services at Larnaca Airport from now on, as well.
– In this context, which updates have you made to optimize the user’s overall experience?
– We have added one more option. Usually, when you park in an airport car park, they transfer you by shuttle bus to departures. On your return you need to phone for them to come and pick you up. Through ParkAround, we have simplified the process and so upon return, the user has the option of informing (the car park) about their arrival, through the application. By typing the number of people and the exit where they are located, a request for pickup is received by the car park. The airport car park monitors it, and responds in real time, so the whole process is done electronically. This makes it easier for travellers, because they don’t have to waste time (and money) phoning the car park, which can either be busy or cannot serve many people at the same time. In addition to the application we provide to users, we have also developed the relevant system for the car parks, so that they can keep track of all requests, providing an even faster service.
– What is the next step for the ParkAround app?
– Our immediate plans are to provide the option of tracking the shuttle bus’ spot on a map so that the user is better informed and has an even more real-time experience.
– Your site states that you can combine offers and get some points. How exactly does this work?
– For those who park frequently through ParkAround, you can collect points and they can be redeemed through the loyalty programme. In addition, there are some offers for the centre of Athens, where you can combine getting your car washed with earning some hours of free parking.
– In addition to individuals, you now also address companies through ParkAround for Business. What can a professional earn from their collaboration with you?
– With ParkAround for Business, we have designed, with our partners in the airport area, special parking packages that include unlimited transfers to/from the airport from 1 to 12 months. Professionals who travel frequently can take advantage of such offers from this page. Each package has a specific duration (e.g. 3 months) and during this time the professional can park as many times as they want by prepaying the package at the beginning and without having any other charges for parking.
